Once upon a time...

It all started a long time ago in 1999, back in Allard and Willem’s dormroom in Enschede. From a single server in their bedroom, Byte soon grew into a fleet of servers in a datacenter. Allard and Willem were tech nerds, and after the company grew even more, they asked their friend Gruus to join the team to take care of the business side. Things were going well, and when more employees were needed. After a few more years, the business came to the capital of the Netherlands: Amsterdam. But Byte kept growing, and each time the space got tight, employees grabbed cargo bikes and muscled the company furniture into a bigger, better office. Located on De Ruyterkade, with a nice view of the waterfront, two rooftop balconies, and plenty of space to do challenging, rewarding work and conquer the world!

2016 was the year of changes. Byte became part of the company group Intelligent. A way to grow bigger and to combine forces to become even better in what we do. We also moved to the Watertorenplein, across the Westerpark. A beautifull office with waterview, inspiring spaces and a nice garden.
